2nd August 2025 Well I've lost count of what day I'm up too. We've been so busy doing the tourist thing whilst being here in Ballarat Victoria. We arrived on Monday and booked into the Ballarat Holiday Park. Tuesday we had a shopping day, few things from Kmart, washing basket from Anaconda and a gas heater from BCF. Steve went to Westpac to sort out the cards that he ordered 3 weeks ago. On Wednesday we went to the Eureka Centre and saw the flag of the Eureka stockade from 1854, we then went to find the Butter Factory in Buninyong, but couldn't find it. we then stopped for coffee in Buninyong which was really lovely. On Thursday we went to Sovereign Hill this was good but a little chilly. On Friday we went and caught with an old school friend Kylie Fenton, we had breakfast at the Golden Circle hotel. what a great time we have had in Ballarat so far.

Day 8 28th July 2025 We left Serviceton at 9.30am, what a great place to hide out when it is pouring rain and blowing a gale. Our first stop was Kaniva Vic, where we came upon an amazing Silo Art. It was so beautiful. We also noticed these sheep everywhere and they were gorgeous. We then continued on to Nhill Vic where I got a coffee, we then decided that we needed to go to Ballarat. We booked a week in the NRMA Ballarat Holiday Park. Our next stop was Dad's Bridge where we stopped at the Big Koala

Trek to Tassie Day Seven

Sunday 27th July  Well the day Dawned gloomy wet and cold 🥶. We did very little today just caught up on some TV shows. The campground we stayed at was in Serviceton at the local football field, it hasn't been used as a football field for 50 years we were told. There is less than 200 people in this town.  The campground had power, water, toilets and showers (there was no hot water till it's repaired)

The morning dawned a lot dryer, we got up packed up and went for breakfast at the Roadhouse again. The meal was so big we took a doggy bag. We left Tailem Bend at 9.30am and headed to Bordertown. We stopped in Keith for a walk and a cuppa, then it was on to Bordertown again. When we got to Bordertown we got fuel, and we found the white kangaroos they were gorgeous, I've never seen a white kangaroo before. It was then onto find camp. We stopped in Worsley first but it was to quaggy and wet. We decided to go onto Serviceton Victoria, Here we found a lovely campsite that has power, toilets showers and water all for $20 per night. We are staying 2 nights.

Trek to Tasmania Day Five

25th July 2025 Thursday. The day dawned very wet. Good thing we had packed up the night before as we knew it was going to rain over night. The only thing we had to do was put up the legs and put down the poptop. We went into Mannum for Brekky at Randall bakery, very nice breakfast and coffee.  It was then on to Murray Bridge. When we got to Murray Bridge it was still raining pretty good so then it was onto Tailem bend. We got a spot at the Waterfront caravan park, we went to the bakery for a spot of lunch, then to the bend raceway to go to the museum. We were looking for Jamie Wincupps car but it wasn't there. Went back to camp to get warm, did laundry and had a much need shower. As it was still teaming rain we then headed to the road house for dinner, the meal here was yummo.

Wednesday 23rd July 2025 and 24th July 2025 Today the 23rd is Justin's birthday. We left camp in Greenock at 9.00am. It was a beautiful morning we were heading to Swan Reach to camp on the Murray River. We stopped in Sedan to get tissues and Garbage bags, oh and also a coffee. Continued on to Swan Reach to find the only camp spot left was under a Widow Maker (Red River Gum Tree). So we decided to continue on to Wongulla, I'm so glad we did, it was amazing here, there were hardly any other people here, 2 other caravans, and we were parked 1 metre from the water. This friendly little fella and his mate were very cheeky trying to steal our lunch. Steve immediately got out a rod and some corn to catch some Carp. Not a bite. We collected some firewood and with what we had in the car we had a lovely night watching the stars and Satellite 🛰️ go by. Next morning 24th July we jumped in the car and went for a drive to Walker Flats to see if we could buy some fire...

Trek to Tasmania Day Two

Tuesday 22nd July 2025 Had a few jobs to do in Adelaide this morning. Left Greenock early, first stop was Brekkie, Maccas $13.95 brekky deal. We stopped into Anaconda to grab a bladder for my CamelBak, then it was off to the 4WD Supercenter to pick up the Solar Panels that we had ordered online. We realised the panels were Glass and extremely heavy, so we returned them straight away.  On our way out of town we nicked into Harvey Norman and got some smoke beads for our Ninja Woodfire Grill. We then went back to Greenock and met Sue and Mark at the Pub for Lunch. What a great little pub, lunch was lovely.  Steve had Schnitty, Sue and Mark had Fish and chips, I had Lamb Korma and Rice, it was disappointing. Went to Maggie Beer's Farm Shop, then to Nurioopta for some groceries and prescriptions.
